Jackie's Thoughts

Hi Friends,

I really wanted to call this page "Jackie's Rants and Raves," but the alliteration is lousy, "Jackie's Jots," is worse, and sounds like a disease of some sort, and my wonderful Webmaster, John, suggested that Jackie's Thoughts was much better.

Sorry to start my first comments to this page with a huge rant and rage, and a plea for your participation, but this is REALLY very important, with very little time to let your thoughts be known! The deadline for comments to the FDA is April 30, 2007.

The FDA has for many years been "tightening the noose" around us as far as what health care we are able to access. In the name of "protecting us from harm," they have tried to limit what supplements, devices, etc. we can obtain without a medical prescription. At the same time the choices for prescription drugs have increased exponentially, with their side effects and costs doing the same!

Their latest foray into strangling our freedom to choose is frightening at best! For some of you who are new to Natural or Alternative health modalities, this may sound like being alarmed over nothing, and that the FDA wouldn't really do some of the bizarre sounding things we suggest as outcomes of the "Guidelines" being proposed. Trust me, they can and they will if we don't start paying attention now, and keep vigilant about it!!!

For the past week or so, I have received quite a few e-mails talking about the New FDA Guidelines. It's a very big area they want to cover, and hard to discuss succinctly, while still explaining the gravity of the problem and need for immediate action.

This is one of my favorite websites, and I have tremendous respect for Mike Adams. Besides being a trustworthy, "Real Deal" kind of guy, he has the clearest explanations for what the Proposed Guidelines will mean, and how to do something about it.

The pharmaceutical companies, and others, have had a big voice and impact on our freedom to choose. If we don't raise our voices now, we will soon have no voice, or choice!!!
